Seed Stratification

I’ve never done this before, but as I was doing my seed inventory (finally!) I discovered that it was necessary to stratefy Angelica seed.

It’s really easy, though you can make it more complex if you choose. I went with simple.

These are the steps I followed:

Make sure all seeds have good contact with the moist towel

Label the bag with the seed kind, date started, and check date.

I additionally set a reminder notification on my smartphone calendar… Because I need all the help I can get. 😋

Now these bad boys go in the fridge for a month or three, and then will be sown indoors around mid February, and transplanted mid April.
