We spent the morning working outside.
My husband hauled mulch while I worked on the weeds in the overgrown potager.
As a reminder, it hasn’t been under control since we bought the property two years ago.
This is what we’ve gotten done so far:

There’s still work to be done, obviously, we have some more area to mulch and edge with rock. All in good time.
Also, my husband mulched the area beside the swale where we are growing peach and cherry trees. It’s being done in such a way as to avoid having to mow around the trees and maximize planting space in and around the trees. Hopefully, this allows for a more permaculture style of companion planting in the spring.
