Crochet Hack

My toddlers love to play in my fiber crafting bag… I’ve even gone so far as to “hide” it under a side table in a difficult to reach area in our living room. No dice– they still managed to get to it and rummage my blunt tipped needle and abandon it to the black abyss that is the couch cushions.

Actually, my son may have been using it for his weaving project. That’s a story for another day.

So, I came up with a hack to weave in my ends with a Bobby pin!

Because I practically shed the silly things!

I just clipped it on the loose end, and sewed it through.

Huzzah!

The only thing I have to be careful of is making sure both tips of the pin go through where I want them to, otherwise, it just ends up clipped to my work.

Take that, you toddler fiends!!

I’m the MacGyver of fiber crafting.

  1. That’s a great idea! I’ll have to use that technique next time I make pot holders on the loom, kinda like a sewing needle, give my fingers a break! Also great for adding design’s and letters into my yarn projects. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
