Well, I think I may have a problem… Other than my daughter having the flu, and being quarantined from church last night and this morning-
I hung two 43-inch shelves and only freed up one shelf and emptied one box of books…
I suppose that’s a little progress, but I’m still overwhelmed by the quantity of books in my ever-burgeoning collection.
Time to go through and choose books for donation.
I have a few books that are loners in a series, like one Redwall book, and the 1st and 6th Harry Potter books. Those odds and ends types of books will be donated.
I’ve also set aside a few to share with friends I think would enjoy them. In cleaning, I found a ton of Bible studies that would be really great for small groups, if I could manage to keep one functional for more than 2 months. Moms are one of the hardest to reach people groups with the Gospel! People don’t believe me when I say that, but now that I am a mother, I’ve found it to be true. There are so many ministries geared toward moms but they’re all podcasts, online devotionals, basically things that can be consumed individually. There’s the responsibility for children, work in or outside the home, care for husband, care for home, and it’s really difficult to make the commitment to things of a spiritual nature without feeling guilty or having to fret over childcare. That’s a post for another day…
In the meantime, I’m enjoying snuggles with my little miss, and the progress we’ve managed on diy asthetic updates this weekend.
