So, I had been building a hot bed (small one) in the back yard starting in May.
I tilled up the space and then put down a couple 13 gallon bags of “Maggie waste” which consisted of rabbit poop, hay, and newspaper. That aged for about 2 months, and then I topped it with a thin layer of compost from my bin, and a couple bags of gardening soil.

The quality of the soil went from dry, dense clay to loose rich loam! Huzzah!
So I transplanted my cherry tomato plants into the bed this week. They’re doing very well, as was expected having seen the soil quality.

That’s about all I have going at our rental. The shared garden at my friend’s house is exquisite and I learned much about my gut gardening senses being generally correct. 😉
I’ll share that with you all later.
