We received some good news after about two weeks worth of trials; the offer we made on the new house was accepted! Praise God for that answered prayer.

To celebrate, my husband brought home surprise Jones Soda and natural vanilla bean ice cream. I hugged him and cried for minutes solid because, doggone it, that man just gets me.

We toasted to God’s perfect provision and His faithfulness to answer prayers and care for us as we continue to seek Him above all else.

And as I opened my bottle of Jones and read the cutesy message in the bottle cap, I was reminded of something…

It’s our faith in Jesus Christ and our personal relationship with Him that continually carries us through these ordeals. The entire house-hunting situation thus far has served as a crucible for our faith. We’re being purified and sanctified for things greater than this.

And I’m overwhelmingly aware that while we plan to transform this house into our homestead and live there for the foreseeable future, it isn’t our ultimate home.

Our final destination is in the presence of our Lord and Savior in His heavenly kingdom.

Praise be to God for his incredible might and power to work through our prayers and to display His love for us in so many ways, the greatest of these being salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Amen, come Lord Jesus!
