I’m a firm believer that God gives you what you need, when you need it, and you just have to receive it. Today, we were given clear, 60°F weather; perfect for getting some of the outside work done.
We had some pesky cedar trees between us and our neighbors that were harboring cedar apple rust. The neighbors had said this past summer we could get rid of them because they didn’t like mowing around them.
It’s amazing how quickly work goes when you have the right tools. That billhook made quick work of those pesky little trees. Now, hopefully they won’t impede our apple trees anymore.
So, that’s what I did while my husband finished mulching the garden.
I took out a few more “stick” trees. Just about 2-3″ diameter that were all way too close together to do anything productive…except be posts for my wattle trellises! Waste not, want not.
I took a break to get the baby up from his nap.
Then my husband set to work on a couple of the downed trees, removing limbs so he can get in there with the chainsaw and get those beasts cleared out of the way.
It was so nice to get some fresh air and work done.
