Sunshine Follows Rain

It’s been hard around here lately.

But like I said before, we were digging in and trusting God for the outcome. And He’s sent just a slew of little blessings today that are just overwhelmingly heart warming.

  • It’s jackhammer day in the basement, and it’s so nice to see that space becoming clean and healthy and safe and beautiful again.
  • We discovered plank subfloors!!! All this nasty carpet can go!! One thing at a time, but I’m excited to reveal those gorgeous planks
  • We were gifted some gorgeous tomatoes, which I’m going to make into BLTs for lunch today
  • A neighbor lost a hickory tree a few weeks ago and has been cutting it up- and he’s graciously gifted us all we can lug home! AND- it should theoretically be dry enough for use this winter, because East TN winter doesn’t really get started until January and is over by March.
  • My grandpa and grandma sent a big box of clothes for the littles, and they are ADORABLE. Plenty of sparkles for the girl, of course.
  • Night of worship went well, I thought, last night, and was a lot of fun. I always enjoy seeing intergenerational worship and prayer. God made us to need eachother.

So it’s got me singing this hymn, with which I shall leave you:

He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength when the labors increase;
To added affliction He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials His multiplied peace.
His love has no limit, His grace has no measure,
His pow’r has no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.

When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done;
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources,
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.
His love has no limit, His grace has no measure,
His pow’r has no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.
His love has no limit, His grace has no measure,
His pow’r has no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.
